It's all about the clicks!

Hi all, welcome back to my blog! Today I am going to be talking about search engine optimisation. One of the most effective ways to boost the profile and profitability of your business is to gain more traffic to your website. In the vast worldwide web this may seem like a difficult task however, there are some techniques you can try to boost the traffic to your site! 👇

1. Quality- Before you even worry about search engine optimisation you must make sure that the content on your site is of a high quality and achieves it's desired purpose. High quality content will be pushed to more people by the algorithm and users who find their way onto your site are likely to return if the quality is good! 💫

2. Keywords- Arguably the most important element. You must predict what type of things users will be searching related to your websiteor product. You must pick out some common words that are used more frequently and ensure that the titles and headings on your website match these keywords.

3. Influencers- The newest global phenomenon, social media influencers are the newest form of celebrity and have a massive pull in terms of branding and advertising. Partnering with popular local social media influencers is a great way to make your website more well known and promote your products.

4. Leveraging your content- Articles, blogs, audience testimonials such as ratings etc. are a great way to boost the reputation of your website. 👏

5. Visuals- As I mentioned in a previous blog, engagement is KEY. Your website needs to grab the attention of any users through the use of pictures, gifs, emojis, videos and more. 💥

6. Promotional emails- Although promotional emails from companies will often find themselves deleted! 😂 They are still a good way to ensure that word of your website is spread amongst the public and your website name becomes recognisable.

7. Digital Ads- Perhaps one of the more straight-forward methods. Advertising on social media and other websites is a great way to attract traffic. It's also important to promote on websites that are conducive to gaining more traffic on your own! e.g similar products or topics.

8. Be consistent- Consistency is vital! Traffic may be slow at first but you must regularly update and improve your content or unfortunately your website and business will be going nowhere!😬

9. Market Research- Many people underestimate market research but knowing your customer is so valuable to any business. Knowing what products your customers desire and tailoring your website as such will certainly boost traffic.

10. Backlinks- Your website is backlinked if a link to your website can be found on another website. Backlinks are one of Google's top ranking factors. They play an essential role in most search engine algorithms and learning to utilise them correctly could see both your website traffic and your business soar..... and to prove my point on the effectiveness of backlinks, here's a video explaining a few more ways to boost SEO!

So there you have it! Those are 10 tips for improving your Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). Hopefully they can help you to create a very successful website.

Thanks very much for reading.

Take care!

The rise of E-Commerce!

Hi all, hope you are well! Welcome back to my blog. This week I am going to be talking about something that has become very prominent in recent times and I predict will sky-rocket in the next 10 to 15 years, e-commerce! Essentially e-commerce is the buying and selling of goods and services online. Numerous platforms to allow e-commerce have popped up in the last few years. Such as these listed below: 👇 WIX: The first one is one I've seen advertised for some years now and that is wix.com. Wix is a tool that makes it easy to create your own website. It gives scope for customisation and personalisation and prides itself on being user friendly. A key component for any e-commerce business is a website and I would recommend this platform for a gym as customers want to easily see which type of membership is for them and an easy to navigate website will allow for this. If you have time to spare and would like to build your own website, this video will show you how! Big Cartel: Big Cartel...

Why do companies often struggle with Information Systems Implementation?

Hi all, welcome back to my blog! This week I am going to talk about information systems and how valuable they are to companies but not always successful....👇 In modern times organisations are investing more and more resources in order to stay up to date with an ever changing business landscape. A huge part of this is incorporating the latest and most advanced technologies into their business. However, the implementation of information systems can pose difficulties to a business if not done correctly. Sometimes there are unforeseen circumstances that cause these issues such as an unwillingness for employees to adapt to the new system. In my time including my work placement I have worked in 3 different office environments and I have seen staff even senior staff reluctant to adapt to even a slight change in how things are done so I am well aware of the struggles a company may face when implementing new systems. Some of the most prominent issues may be: Inadequate Training: If employees, ...
